SUMMARY:  PINK PANTHER 2 brings back bumbling Inspector Clouseau, played by Steve Martin, who leads a team of top detectives trying to stop a thief who's stealing priceless items. Though it contains a few light profanities and slapstick violence, this excellent movie delivers many laughs with mostly clean content and a positive message supporting marriage.

 

IN BRIEF:

 

PINK PANTHER 2 brings back bumbling Inspector Clouseau to try to solve a mystery while creating havoc in his wake. When a villain named The Tornado begins to steal priceless items, including the famous French jewel called The Pink Panther (because of its pink hue), a "dream team" of detectives from different countries is assembled, led by Clouseau. Amid much publicity, the detectives follow leads, trying to discover the identity and whereabouts of The Tornado. After much chaos, missed chances and slapstick situations, Clouseau solves the case when his fellow detectives fail.

 

PINK PANTHER 2 is made for comedy and slapstick fans. The plot is thin but serves as an opportunity to see Clouseau bumble from one situation to another. The production values are strong. The ensemble cast, highlighted by Steve Martin and Andy Garcia, brings great levity to the crime scenes. PINK PANTHER 2 has a few light profanities and slapstick violence, but otherwise is surprisingly clean. The romance between Clouseau and Nicole ends in marriage and not a one-night stand. For movie lovers who like slapstick comedy, PINK PANTHER 2 is a lovable movie filled with many laughs.
