SUMMARY:  VALKYRIE is the captivating true story of German Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, who leads a plot to assassinate Hitler in 1944 during World War II and take control of the government in order to stop the war. While the characters take a back seat to the riveting, spine-tingling plot, VALKYRIE is a stirring, captivating movie that contains little foul language, no sex or nudity, positive references to God, and a compelling story of sacrifice.

IN BRIEF:

VALKYRIE is the captivating true story of German Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, who leads a plot to assassinate Hitler during World War II. Disillusioned by the actions of Hitler and the SS Troops, Von Stauffenberg is contacted by a few Nazi generals and leaders who want to bring change to the country and stop the war. Their goal is to eliminate Hitler and his key advisor Himmler and to stage a coup, stopping the spread of Nazism. A plan is hatched called "Valkyrie," named for the Wagner opera based on Norse mythology.

VALKYRIE is a gripping movie. The riveting plot is the star of the movie, so the characters sometimes take a back seat. More of a political thriller than a war movie, the twists and turns of politics drive the story. VALKYRIE expresses a very moral, biblical worldview, including positive references to God and the Bible. Each participant knows the risks they're taking. They know they will lose their lives if they fail. That does not stop them from doing what's right in the face of overwhelming odds. VALKYRIE is definitely a movie many media-wise viewers will enjoy and find rewarding.
